Choosing an agency

Choosing an OnlyFans agency: your first-call checklist

2 min read

One screenshot or commission percentage cannot tell you whether an agency is right for you. Use the first conversation to understand how work, responsibility and boundaries are handled. Keep written notes so you can compare proposals using the same questions.

1. Who handles your day-to-day work?

Ask who your regular contact will be and who actually handles strategy, editing and communication. Walk through an ordinary week: what feedback will you receive, when do you approve content and how are urgent issues handled?

A boutique model with fewer creators may make personal attention easier, but still needs clear responsibilities. A larger team may offer specialist roles. What matters is whether the proposed support is organized in a concrete, understandable way.

2. How are the fees calculated?

Request a complete worked example for an explicitly hypothetical month. What is the starting amount, which deductions come first and which additional costs apply? Ask how refunds, currency differences and delayed payouts affect the calculation.

Record who receives payouts, who issues invoices and how you can check the calculation yourself. Do not rely on the word ‘net’ until the deductions included in that term have been explained.

3. Who controls accounts and content?

Check that you retain control of primary email, recovery and payout settings. Clarify rights to raw material and edited files. Personal boundaries and approval of individual content requests should be explicitly addressed.

Ask which tools are used and how their access will be removed when the relationship ends. Discuss which information can be exported or deleted. Do not share login details during the first call.

  • Regular contact and cover identified
  • Services and approvals documented
  • Fee calculation understood through an example
  • Account and file rights clarified
  • Termination and handover recorded in writing

4. How are results and the end of the relationship handled?

Performance examples need context: time period, starting position, revenue basis and the work performed. Individual case studies show possible outcomes rather than typical or guaranteed results for your account. Ask how ongoing progress will be reported in a way you can verify.

Review the term, notice period, outstanding invoices and handover arrangements before signing. Independent professional review can help with unclear clauses. A productive working relationship starts with both sides understanding the agreement and being able to put it into practice.

Make it work for your situation.
